Dr Rohde is not in-network with any insurance providers. He specializes in Integrative Functional Medicine and works for YOU and not an insurance company and therefore is not bound by any contract that would limit services or treatments he is able to provide for any patient. Dr. Rohde's goal is to help you discover the root cause of your health issues and help your body heal as it was meant to so you can Live Your Best Life. He feels strongly that the doctor-patient relationship is sacrosanct and should not be interfered with by any insurance company, employer, or the government. Freed from these restrictions anyone may see Dr. Rohde but you will be considered Self Pay and payment is expected at the time of service. A fee of $125 per 15 minutes, $250 for 30 minutes, etc. will be collected at the time of your visit. This cost is included for patients participating in bundle/package pricing.
For new patients, Renew Total Body Wellness Center requires a security deposit of $300 to secure your initial appointment with Dr. Rohde. This payment will be applied to any money owed at the time of your visit.
If you wish to utilize your BlueCross BlueShield insurance, our nurse practitioner, Laci Watson, is in-network and provides Primary Care Services. She sees her own patients and is also available to see Dr. Rohde's established patients for acute health problems, periodic medicine checkups, routine annual/well woman appointments, school/sports physicals, skin cancer screenings, and more.
For patients seeing Laci Watson, we will bill BlueCross BlueShield for your blood work tests and your office visit. We must have registration paperwork completed and on file along with a front and back copy of your insurance card to be able to bill for these services.
If you have a remaining deductible we will require payment for your services and lab work at the time of the visit as you are responsible for the cost of your visit along with any lab work or procedures until your deductible is fully met. The amount you owe is calculated for the services you receive based on Blue Cross Blue Shields allowed fee schedule. Please come prepared to pay for these costs AT your visit as you know you are liable for them. We will NOT bill you for these charges, they are due at the time of your visit.
If we do not have a contract with your carrier and you are “out of network” or you have no healthcare insurance your visit will be Self Pay. We have reasonable cash pay prices. You will be asked to pay for your visit at the time of service. Please come prepared to pay for these charges with cash, checks, or credit cards at the time of your visit.
We will provide a receipt for your visit. Codes may be given for the office visit only if you wish to file a claim with your insurance carrier. These codes will be available once the office visit note is completed, which may take up to 12 weeks, and you must be registered with our portal to receive the codes as they will not be mailed. If you file with your insurance we will NOT provide any further documents to them as we are not credentialed with them. Any further paperwork you ask us to provide for your insurance will incur additional fees to cover staff time as we have provided you with reasonable pricing and we do NOT work for your insurance company. If you submit a claim to your insurance and they mail payment to us we MUST return it to them as we are not credentialed with them or we would be committing fraud. You will need to make sure you obtain payment from them.
Testing
Any blood lab work ordered by Laci is based on your unique history and clinical situation. We will bill standard blood testing to Blue Cross. Any advanced testing like Saliva, Stool, Blood and Urine utilized for your functional medicine evaluation is included in the bundled evaluation fees paid in advance of your visit. Any additional tests we feel are necessary during your initial visit to help discover the root cause of your health issue, or any re-testing to evaluate the success of a treatment will be at additional cost paid for at the time of your appointment. Insurance does not cover these advanced tests.
If YOU ask to have lab work performed at an outside lab where your insurance may better cover your testing we will add a “Lab Handling Fee” to your visit charges. This fee is payable at the time of your service. Labs drawn in office and performed through our reference lab flow directly into your chart and simplify handling of results and avoid human error. Lab results from outside labs arrive in paper format and staff must manually enter those values into your chart for them to be useful. The “Lab Handling Fee” pays for staff time necessary to manually enter those values into your chart.
